Current AI, a non-profit launched at the Paris AI Action Summit in February 2025 with $400M in backing, released Gap Map v0.1 — an attempt to index the state of open source AI.
• 421 products in depth across 14 categories: 266 tools, 85 models, 50 datasets, 20 hardware projects
• Organized by stack layer: model components, product/UX, infrastructure
• 24,400 uncategorized artifacts remain in the long tail, awaiting research and citation
